Linda Peters is an architectural historian who writes about Chicago architecture. Her research and writing leads to designating buildings and districts as Chicago Landmarks or listing them in the National Register of Historic Places. If she is not on campus you can find her sketching in Grant Park. Her favorite color is blue.
After
earning her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Illinois, Linda
Peters received a Ph.D. in Architectural History from the University
of Georgia. She has taught at the University of Memphis, Memphis,
TN, Augusta College, Augusta, GA and Woodbury University, Los
Angeles, CA. Currently, she conducts research on historic buildings
compiling the information into National Register of Historic Places
nominations. Motor Row, Chicago’s first automobile showroom district,
is her current project.
