EGL 095 Business Writing for the Non-native Speaker (New Course)
This course is designed for non-native English speakers who wish to improve their English vocabulary, writing and speaking skills for the world of work. The focus is on writing business-related documents and speaking in business-related situations using correct grammar and precise language. Also covered are English word forms and American writing style.

EGL 111 Introduction to Business and Technical Writing
This course is for anyone desiring to improve their on-the-job writing skills. The focus is on strategies for writing clear, concise business documents, including e-mails, letters, memos, reports, and proposals. Learn how to write procedures, progress reports, client correspondence and other business documents that require effective sentence structure and precise business vocabulary. Develop competence in researching, presenting, and analyzing data in well-designed and well-written reports. College transfer course.

EGL 211 Writing for the Web
If you write material that appears on your company’s intranet, or on the Internet, this course is for you. Content includes organizing and writing company Web pages; product and service descriptions; and on-line training and procedural materials that can be easily navigated by various audiences. Writing focuses address clarity, brevity, and precision. College transfer course.

EGL 212 Technical Writing Applications
For people writing scientific and technical documentation such as system and mechanical descriptions, procedures, instructions, and manuals, as well as lab, test, field, and status reports, and formal proposals. Other focuses include data collection and presentation in formal reports, and design and integration of visual elements (e.g., charts, graphs, and tables). College transfer course.

EGL 098 Fundamentals of English Grammar
Practice in grammar and mechanics of standard written English including sentence structure, punctuation, subject-verb agreement, pronoun usage, parallelism, and other elements of grammar.
