Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that students learn best when they are active participants in the learning process and can connect their learning to their life experience. Therefore, I try to provide lots of opportunities for students to work in pairs and small groups, as well as interact in the large group. Assignments are structured to support their learning and help make the connections from theory to experience. I believe that students grow and develop when we provide an appropriate amount of challenge and support, build relationships with them in the learning process and model what it means to be a lifelong learner.
