MISSION STATEMENT

Our Vision
Our mission is to be the college of first choice for companies, institutions, and individuals to attain business education, training, and skills within Community College District 535.

Our Mission
As the college of choice, we will continuously seek to improve the scope, quality, and impact of our programs based on the expressed needs of the community at-large and our students, in particular.

We will be a leader within the state in designing unique, leading- edge programs aimed at leveraging the ever-changing business environment for the benefit of our customers. In order to forge links directly to the community, we will seek to form partnerships for education with businesses, government and social organizations, and educational institutions.

Our programs will be demanding, focused, and intellectually satisfying, challenging our students to explore and expand the limits of their capabilities. We will maintain a focus on each student as an individual and encourage and mentor them to attain goals of lifelong learning and professional excellence.

We will encourage in our students a dissatisfaction with the status quo, a thirst for reasonable risk, the initiative to take action, and the ability to lead from the heart. They will graduate with an understanding of the skills and responsibilities of business leadership necessary to forge the future. We will focus on identifying and developing within our students marketable knowledge and skills that will be valued by employers within the community and lead to satisfying careers.

As professional educators, we will continuously improve our knowledge within our areas of expertise and our skills as teachers and mentors. We will seek to establish a personal and professional relationship with each student that will allow them to benefit from the full range of our knowledge, skill, and experience.

Valuing the diversity inherent in our community, we will reach out to under-served groups, identify their unique educational needs, and create innovative initiatives to meet those needs.

Above all else, we will focus on the life-altering outcomes our students desire and deserve as a result of having engaged with our faculty in the joint pursuit of knowledge, skills, and personal growth.
