Welcome to the Construction Management program!
Chair: Martin Bruner, 847.376.7740 or mbruner@oakton.edu
Oakton’s construction management program prepares students to work in the emerging field of construction management as their primary area of expertise. In addition, our program enables individuals employed in the construction and architectural industries to upgrade professional skills and provides professional development training for those working in associated fields, including heating and air conditioning, drafting, facilities operation, and the building trades.
Students who enroll in Oakton’s construction management courses will gain the basic knowledge for an entry-level position in an architectural, construction, or construction management firm. Our program concentrates primarily on those skills utilized in the field on a construction site, along with related office procedures. Note, however, that many employers express a preference for entry-level individuals with some prior experience.
I invite you to come to campus, explore our program, and contact me with any questions you have.
