Course Description |
This is
an introduction to the C programming language with an emphasis
on solving numerically intensive applications that occur in
scientific and engineering fields. Numerical algorithms will
be implemented using essential programming tools and elementary
data structures.
|
| |
Course Objectives |
1. Compose,
edit, compile and execute programs written in the C programming language.
2. Apply the tools of problem analysis and algorithmic development to problems
from the natural sciences and engineering.
3. Design programs using the essential programming tools: modularity, selection
and repetition.
4. Implement programming solutions using data structures such as files and
arrays.
5. Survey elementary numerical algorithms.
