RFID Training Sessions
January 4-9, 2009
Instructors/courses: Professor Majid Ghadiri and Associate Professor Dave Geller will be the lead instructors in two courses: RFD 101 – Introduction to Radio Frequency Identification and RFD 102 - TagNet Middleware. These courses will be delivered in a hybrid format with 6 days of on site instruction and the remainder provided through a WebCT online course delivery environment. An adjunct RFD faculty member will provide additional support for laboratory work after hours. The entire Oakton RFID curriculum is available through the OCC RFD home page.
Accommodations: A block of rooms have been reserved at the price of $99 per evening at the Holiday Inn Chicago North Shore, 5300 W. Touhy Ave., Skokie, IL 60077, 847-679-8900. Rooms have been reserved from the evening of Saturday, January 3 through the evening of Friday, January 9. Mention the Oakton RFID Workshops or block code RFI when making your reservations. The hotel can only hold the reservations until 12-19-2008 at this rate.
Class dates/times: Class will meet from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm on the following dates:1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9. Lunch will be provided each class date. Transportation will be available to take attendees from the hotel to the campus at 8am and from the campus to the hotel at 5pm. A van will be available to transport attendees between the campus and the hotel from 5pm-9pm each class night to support those who wish to work after hours.
