| MFG 144 and CAD 116 or consent of instructor. |
| III. | COURSE DESCRIPTION (catalog): |
| This CAD/CAM course uses MASTERCAM software to create part geometry and assign toolpath to the geometry. By translating using a post-processor, CNC programs can be automatically generated and communicated to the machine tools in Oakton's Manufacturing Lab. Both 2-D and 3-D toolpaths are used to make parts using machines with various controllers. Graphic simulation is used to prove-out results. |
