"We're Talking Your Language"
Audio Exchange Program
Audiotapes and CDs are available for most Oakton Modern language
courses. Exchange blank audiotapes and/or CDs for pre-recorded tapes and/or
CDs of corresponding lab exercises for home use.
Tutoring
Tutoring
is free for Oakton language students and it's offered at the Language
Labs.
Computers
Access Web-based audio and video on multimedia computers equipped
with headphones. Computers feature:
• GED and TOEFL software
• Special Modern Language software
• DVD player
• Multilingual support for Microsoft Office, e-mail, and Web tools
Support Services
Sharpen your skills with help from our staff in areas including:
• Microsoft Word
• Power Point presentations
• Internet research and e-mail
• Speech preparation and delivery

Audio/Visual Services
The language lab is equipped with a multi-system VCR and multi-zone
DVD player to watch foreign films and DVDs. Students may review videotapes
for any class.

• Modern language magazines and dictionaries
• Tandberg IS-10, 24 seat language lab system
• LCD projector with large screen
• Sony fast-speed duplicator
