- High school graduation or successful completion of the GED exam.
- High School grade point average of C or better.

One year of high school or one semester of college:
— Algebra (completed within the last 7 years) with a minimum grade of C (Oakton-MAT 120 or equivalent). Math assessment test may be required.— Biology (completed within the last 10 years) with a minimum grade of C (Oakton-BIO 101 or equivalent)— Chemistry (completed within the last 7 years) with a minimum grade of C (Oakton-CHM 101 or equivalent) -
EGL (English) Writing Assessment Test (WSAT) placement into English 101 or proof of English 101.

Egl (English) Reading Test (DRP) with score of 50 or higher.

ACT score of 21, (20 if taken before 10/89) OR

Minimum of 12 college credit hours with a grade of "C" or better in science.
