Generic OCC MAT 252 Syllabus

Prerequisite MAT 251 with a grade of C or better.

Course Description
This is the third course in calculus and analytic geometry focusing on: infinite series, partial derivatives, surfaces and multiple integration. Calculators/computers will be used when appropriate.

Learning Objectives
1. Use the convergence tests on infinite series.
2. Represent functions by Taylor and Maclaurin series.
3. Identify cylindrical and quadric surfaces and surfaces of revolution.
4. Study rectangular, cylindrical and spherical coordinates.
5. Evaluate and apply partial derivatives of functions of several variables.
6. Evaluate and apply multiple integral.
