National Science Foundation Funded Scholarship Opportunities at Oakton Community College



Over the next two years, Oakton Community College will be distributing moneys awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to provide full academic scholarships to qualified students.  This prestigious scholarship would pay all academic expenses to attend Oakton Community College full time in designated disciplines.

To be eligible to apply, students must evidence some financial need and wish to enroll at Oakton full time majoring in any of the following disciplines or programs.
 
 

Mathematics
Engineering
Computer Science
Electronic and Computer Technology
Mechanical Design/Computer-Aided Design (MEC/CAD)
Computer Information Systems

The award will pay all tuition, fees, and associated registration charges.  Students receiving this scholarship remain eligible for other awards or financial assistance.

Students will be selected by the College based upon the following criteria:
 
 

Academic Merit
Motivation
Evidence of financial need
U.S. Citizen ship, Legal immigrant or conferred Political Asylum

We would be especially interested reaching groups under-represented in the fields of Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Engineering and Computer Technologies.
