Don't wait until the end of the term to try and complete your assignment.
Remember that it takes time to arrange a placement, and time to complete
the required number of hours, so it is best to get started at the beginning
of the term.
-
Take charge of your own experience. YOU are responsible for making
your experience one that is meaningful, positive, and allows you to learn
and grow.
-
If, after talking with people at a community agency or even spending a
few hours at the agency, you
decide that a particular site is not for you, don't feel you have to
continue. This experience should be a positive and rewarding one,
and, if the fit is not right, you should leave and find an alternative
placement.
-
If you are bored, feel like you aren't doing something worthwhile, or are
in any way dissatisfied, TALK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR OPENLY AND HONESTLY TO
RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.
