Human Resource Management

Human Resource Management deals with a company's most valuable asset, its people. Human Resource professionals are responsible for a wide range of activities, from recruitment and hiring, training and development, performance evaluation and compensation, to health and safety. How do you ensure your management practices conform to government and industry regulations? How do you develop personnel policies, manage employee records, and administer employee benefits?

Oakton's Human Resource Specialist Certificate provides the tools you need to prepare for a career in this dynamic field. Courses include MGT117 Human Relations in the Workplace, MGT222 Conflict Management, MGT266 Employee Selection and Staffing, and MGT268 Human Resource Management Law.

Spring 2015 semester classes begin.

January 21
Winterim faculty grading due.

January 26
Last day to submit proof of residency, business service agreements and chargebacks/joint agreements.

February 15
Last day to withdraw from 16-week courses and have course dropped from record.

February 16
Presidents Day holiday, College closed.

February 17
Last day to change to audit for 16-week courses.

March 1
Incomplete (I) grades from fall 2014 semester for which faculty have not submitted final grades will become an "F" after this date.
