Mathematics Department Placement Coordinator

The job of the of the Coordinator is to clear a student's ability to meet the prerequisite of an Oakton MAT course.  For more about placement testing, see our math placement testing page.

To successfully complete your registration that requires placement by the Mathematics Assessment Coordinator, perform the following steps.

  1. Fill out the online form to indicate which OCC MAT classes you are interested in taking.

  2. Fax a copy of your transcripts and other supporting documentation to 847-635-1691 or deliver them to room  2180 DP.

  3. Wait until you are contacted by email or phone regarding the status of your request.

  4. Register for your selected courses on campus or by the Internet at myOakton.

Please note that your prerequisite clearance for a given Oakton MAT course does not imply that you are registered for that course.  You may need to perform other activities for registration.

Last day for filing Graduation Petitions.

Last day to withdraw with a "W" (no withdrawals after mid-term) Students will receive a grade in all courses in which they are enrolled after June 28..

July 4
Independence Day holiday. College closed.
