Admission Prerequisites
The minimum qualifications are:
High school graduation or successful completion of the GED exam.
High School grade point average of C or better.
One year of high school or one semester of college:
- Algebra (completed within the last 7 years) with a minimum grade of C (Oakton-MAT 140 or equivalent). Math assessment test may be required.
- Biology (completed within the last 10 years) with a minimum grade of C (Oakton-BIO 101 or equivalent).
- Chemistry (completed within the last 7 years) with a minimum grade of C (Oakton-CHM 101 or equivalent).
EGL (English) Writing Assessment Test (WSAT) placement into English 101 or proof of English 101.
EGL (English) Reading Native Compass test with a score of 77 or higher.
ACT score of 21, (20 if taken before 10/89) OR
Minimum of 12 college credit hours with a grade of "C" or better in science.
