Dr.
Jarrell teaches general and organic chemistry at Oakton.
His first passion is teaching and helping students to achieve
their goals. Besides teaching, Dr. Jarrell is very interested
in chemistry as it relates to drug discovery.
While
he runs a rigorous classroom, Dr. Jarrell believes that
the most important part of being a teacher is to provide
a comfortable environment for his students. He believes
that respect in the classroom comes from the actions of
the teacher, and not from a title. For this reason, he encourages
his students to address him as “Wade” if they
are comfortable with that.
