The COMPASS mathematics test consists of seven content domains:
Geometry Coordinate Geometry Trigonometry

· Greater than/less than
· Conversions between fractions and decimals
· Estimation
· Counting problems and simple probabilities

(assumes prior knowledge of all topics covered in Arithmetic)
  · Substituting values into algebraic expressions
· Setting up equations for given situations
· Factoring, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of polynomials
· Solving polynomial equations by factoring
· Formula manipulation and field axioms
· Linear equations and inequalities in one variable
· Exponents

  · Rational Expressions
· Exponents
· Systems of linear equation in two variable
· Quadratic formulas
· Absolute value equations and inequalities
