| COLLEGE LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM (CLEP)
Students can earn college credit at
Oakton in a variety of courses through CLEP testing. Since Oakton is a national test site for CLEP, students can
take the tests at our center and send their results to any college
or university that accepts CLEP exams for credit.
 |
CLEP offers 35 different exams in various disciplines. |
 |
The tests are administered on computer at the Des Plaines
Testing Center. |
 |
Students must call the Testing Center (847) 635-1939 at
least one week in advance to make an appointment for testing. |
 |
Only two tests or one test with an essay may be attempted
on the same test date. |
 |
There
is a $70 fee per test to CLEP and a service fee of $15 per
test payable to Oakton Community College. Fees may be paid
by credit card or check. |
For descriptions of the CLEP exams, visit The
College Board website. For information about CLEP, pick up
a brochure in the Testing Centers or Student Services at either
campus or call the Testing Center in Des Plaines (847) 635-1939.
