MEN'S DAY OAKTON FACULTY Gregory Baldauf, Ph.D., is a professor of student development who teaches the mens course, Moving Towards Conscious Manhood: Being a Man at the Millennium. Greg is a co-chair of Men's Day. Paul Johnson, M.S., is an assistant professor of student development. Paul is a former student of Oaktons Mens Program and co-chair of Mens Day. Michael Maloney, Ph.D., has been counseling and teaching psychology at Oakton since 1972. He also has a private practice in Skokie, Illinois. Richard Reid, M.A., Pastoral Studies, is the founder of Men of Tomorrow, a mens support group, and facilitator of Oaktons Mens Support Group. MEN'S DAY GUEST FACULTY
Jack Dohr, M.A., teaches anger and pain management at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center. Matthew Dooley, Psy.D., is a psychotherapist at the Center for Divorce Recovery, with locations in Northbrook and Libertyville, Illinois. John Everingham, Ph.D., is a 20-year veteran of mens work in the Chicago area, and an elder in the Mankind Projects New Warrior Training Adventure. Andrew Fash is an active participant in mens work in Chicago. Don Flerlage has been doing mens work through Oaktons Mens Psychology courses for more than a decade. He has studied Inka shamanism for nine years. Stu Frank is a member of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA) and a participant in Oaktons Mens Program. William Janssens, MSW/LSW/CADC, is the manager of a residential treatment center for men, a trained mediator, and longtime volunteer staff member at Oakton. Joe Kilikevice, MFA, is the co-founding director of Male Spirit Retreats, in which ancient songs and dances bring men together in a sacred ritual space. Phil Kirschbaum, LCSW, is co-founder of Gurnee Counseling Center, and maintains a personal interest in the practice of meditation, tai chi, and yoga. Paul
Kachoris, M.D., is a child/adolescent/adult psychiatrist and former
Mens Day keynote speaker. He works with men and their development
both in his private practice and through the Victories of the Heart weekend
experience for men. Dick Levon, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice and former group leader for Victories of the Heart. He also is working on a One Heart program for adolescents. Jonathon Levy, LCSW, is a practicing Chicago area psychotherapist. Phil Metres, Jr., Ph.D., is a clinical psychological and body psychotherapist in private practice for 27 years. He is a Fellow in the Midwest Institute for Somatic Psychotherapy, and a daily practitioner of contemplative prayer. Christopher Miller, Ph.D., is the director of the Counseling Center of the First Presbyterian Church of Evanston. He has been practicing individual, marital, and family psychotherapy for 24 years. Andy Mitran is a professional music producer, and the former Professor Andy on WGN-TVs Bozo Show. George Murphy is a participant in the Oakton Mens Program and a student of Inca Shamanism.. Richard Popp is an Upledger Certified CranioSacral Therapist, national certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork, and a certified energy healing instructor. Edward S. Ravine, M.A., LCPC/CRADC, is a certified addiction counselor and 35-year veteran of the behavioral health field. He earned his masters degree in counseling psychology from Chicagos Adler School of Professional Psychology. George Sachs is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, and is currently enrolled in a clinical psychology doctoral program at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Kurt L. Schultz is a longtime facilitator for Victories of the Heart weekends. Gary S. Shunk, LCSW, is a Chicago psychotherapist and spiritual director. Kenn Skorupa, M.Ed., is an administrator and faculty member at DePaul University, where he currently teaches an online course called Male Identity in Transition. He has a masters degree in education with a focus on counseling. Michael Vernon, LCSW, is a practicing Chicago area psychotherapist. Robert Visco is a graduate of a three-year program in body-centered awareness. He also has been very involved in mens work through Oakton and the ManKind Project. Steven Wallman, LCSW, has both professional and personal experience in the value of providing sustained support for clients dealing with difficult issues of divorce. |
