In keeping with the spirit of the day, please bring a man with you—husband, father, son, friend, brother, relative, or any other significant male in your life. Please note that due to their sensitive nature some programs may be intended for men only.

MEN’S DAY OAKTON FACULTY

Gregory Baldauf, Ph.D., and Paul Johnson, M.S.Ed., co-chairs for Men’s Day 2006

Kenneth Kikuchi, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist and adjunct faculty member at Oakton.

Michael Maloney, Ph.D., has been counseling and teaching psychology at Oakton since 1972. He also has a private counseling practice in Skokie, Illinois.

Lou Pierozzi, MFA, is an art instructor at Oakton.

Richard Reid, M.A., Pastoral Studies, is the founder of Men of Tomorrow, a men’s support group, and facilitator of Oakton’s Men’s Support Group.

John W. Tuttle, LCSW/CADC/CEAP/SAP, is an adjunct faculty member at Oakton who often incorporates humor into his insightful presentations. His primary role in the Employee Assistance field is with a major airline.


MEN’S DAY GUEST FACULTY


Irwin Aloff, MA, is a counselor, facilitator, and educator who first joined the New Warrior community in 1987. He leads MKP Integration Groups, and with his life partner, Delores, the Pathways to Intimacy workshop for couples.

Gail P. Canning, CSADC/LCPC, is a psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of addictive disorders and Imago Relationship Therapy. Her private practice is in Evanston, Illinois.

Wendell Carpenter, Ph.D., is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and leader in Victories of the Heart and The Mankind Project. He has been active in the Chicago community of men for more than 20 years.

Timothy L. Clark, LCSW/CADC, is a practicing psychotherapist who has worked in the mental health field more than 30 years. He works with men across the lifespan, and specializes in Vietnam and Desert Storm veterans, adolescent males, and substance abuse issues.

Corey Coscioni is a student leader at the Wright Institute. He works with the Men’s Transformation, Couples, and Lifestyles programs, Leadership Program, and Men’s Guild.

Jack Dohr, MA, M.Ed., teaches anger and pain management at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center. He has been working with male juvenile offenders for the past seven years, and previously worked as a teacher and director of bereavement programs.

John Everingham, Ph.D., is a co-editor and chapter author of the anthology, Men Healing Shame, and its 2005 revised edition, Breaking the Shackles. He is active in the Mankind Project, Victories of the Heart, and Oakton Men’s Program.

Andrew Fash is an active participant in men’s work in Chicago.

William Janssens, MSW/LCSW/CADC, is a practicing social worker in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a trained mediator and 18-year veteran of the Oakton Men’s Program.

Paul Kachoris, M.D., is a child/adolescent/adult psychiatrist and former Men’s Day keynote speaker. He works with men and their development both in his private practice and through Victories of the Heart workshops.

Joe Kilikevice, MFA, has been guiding Male Spirit retreats since 1986. These experiential retreats are characterized by a deep respect for men and their spiritual journeys, especially the ritual and wisdom of people from all over the world.

Alan M. Levin, JD, is co-leader of the Wisdom Years Weekend sponsored by Victories of the Heart, and also serves on the organization’s board of directors. A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, Levin develops presentations on labor and employment issues for management and professional groups nationwide.

Dick Levon, ATR/LCSW, is an artist and psychotherapist in private practice.

Philip J. Metres, Jr., Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and body psychotherapist with an independent practice at the North Shore Center for Counseling & Therapy in Northbrook, Illinois.

Christopher G. Miller, D.Min., is the director of the counseling center at First Presbyterian Church of Evanston. Married for 31 years with two daughters, he has been a marriage, family, and individual psychotherapist for more than 25 years.

Andy Mitran is a professional music producer, and the former ’Professor Andy’ on WGN-TV’s Bozo Show.

Timothy Pedigo, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with traumatized men and couples. He has a private practice in Chicago’s south suburbs.

Kurt L. Schultz, JD, is an attorney and partner with the law firm of Winston and Strawn, where he specializes in business litigation. He volunteers with Victories of the Heart as chair of its board and as a retreat leader.

Gary Shunk, LCSW, is a psychotherapist with a private practice in downtown Chicago.

Rick Simon, MA, is a consultant to nonprofit organizations specializing in strategic planning, marketing, and communications. Rick is afflicted with Victories of the Heart as a member of the board, marketing consultant, and weekend volunteer.

Kenn Skorupa, M. Ed., is an administrator and faculty member at DePaul University, currently teaching the course, Male Identity in Transition. He has a master’s degree in education with a focus on counseling, and has lectured on men’s topics for 10 years.

Leonard Szymczak, MSW/LCSW, is a psychotherapist with 20 years experience in the treatment of men. He is the author of the novel, Cuckoo Forevermore.

Dean Tripp, M.S. Ed., is an M.B.T.F. practitioner, adult educator, and alumni of the Mankind Project. He is developing an integrated model of personal growth, social movements, and historical change.

Robert Visco is a graduate of a three-year program in body-centered awareness and has been doing the 5Rhythms practice for six years. He is a father of two and works as a courier for Federal Express.

Steve Wallman, MSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice in Evanston, Illinois, and co-leader of the Wisdom Years Weekend. He has been active in Victories of the Heart since 1985.

Mike Zwell, BS, is a founder of the Men’s Guild, and one of the first students to lead a "transformations lab"at Wright Institute. He has since served as a leader for weekend trainings, evening seminars, and ongoing groups.
