THE 13TH ANNUAL

MEN’S

DAY

Session II
1:45 a.m. - 3 p.m.

AWAKENING THE PEACEFUL WARRIOR
Dan Millman.
This experiential workshop enables participants to experience the energy and awareness of a peaceful warrior. In a friendly, safe, and supportive atmosphere, we’ll utilize enjoyable elements from the martial arts to liberate the peaceful warrior inside each of us—to awaken courage and compassion, spirit and strength.

HEALING THE FATHER WOUND
Gregory Baldauf.
The heart of men’s work is healing the relationship with one’s father. Whether he was absent, distant, or uninvolved, resolving these issues is the key to healing old wounds, growing as a human being, and becoming a father yourself.

THE PATIENCE AND GRIT OF MALE FRIENDSHIP
Joe Kilikevice.
Sports, work, and sex are topics that fill the space between men with words, but friendship requires a deeper connection. Learn how we can drop our defense mechanisms and nourish each other as men deserve to be nourished into manhood.

THE MEN'S ART FORUM: OUR ARTISTIC SELVES IN ADULTHOOD
Andy Mitran and Dick Levon.
Learn how to build a safe container in which to explore your personal exposure and connection to art. Experience the wisdom of a “circle of men,” speaking honestly about the important elements of their creative lives.

THE POWER OF THE ENNEAGRAM
Michael Maloney.
The Enneagram is an ancient personality theory that helps us to better understand our interpersonal relationships. In this workshop we expose our compulsive behaviors, and learn how to break free of them.

BECOMING A MAN WHO LOVES
Christopher Miller.
Loving people is a complex and challenging endeavor. Spouses, partners, children, and friends can thrive or wither, depending on our skill in showing them love. This workshop addresses how to love people, both in theory and practice.

HEALING ENERGETICALLY
Richard Popp.
Heal your inner child wounds to allow the little boy that’s “stuck” inside to find his own unique male energy. Discover energy that feels comfortable and empowering.

ECSTATIC MOVEMENT FOR BODY AND SOUL
Robert Visco.
Explore the dynamic practice of the five rhythms—flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness—using breath as inspiration, and music as a medicine. Exercises are comprised of a simple movement practice to release the dancer that lives in everyone, no matter what shape, size, age, limitation, or experience.

OAKTON'S DYNAMIC MEN'S PROGRAM
Richard Reid.
Oakton has a unique Men’s Program—perhaps the only one of its kind in the entire United States. Find out more about its history—and future—in this workshop.
