Division 3: room 2430, tel. (847)635-1950 I. Prerequisite: Completion of Art 120 (Introduction to Museum Studies) with a minimum grade of B. II. Course Description: The student will get experience in the Museum field by serving on internship or practicum (paid or unpaid) for 10 hours per week at Chicago area museums (art, history, natural history, science, botanic garden). The job the student works at will be appropriate to his or her skills. The student will meet with the instructor and provide detailed reports of the work experience. III. Learning Objectives: 1. There are serious consequences
to violations of the academic integrity policy. Oakton’s policies and procedures
provide students a fair hearing if a complaint is made against you. If
you are found to have violated the policy, the minimum penalty is failure
on the assignment and, a disciplinary record will be established and kept
on file in the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs for a period
of 3 years.
