Watercolor
Pencil Art in a Flash (ART C93-02) teaches how to mix and layer
colors, produce washes, and combine with other mediums to create new
and interesting effects. One-week session meets 6:45 - 9:45 p.m.,
Wednesday, March 2, at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Road,
Des Plaines. Course fee is $39.
Drawing,
Beginning (ART B02-03) focuses on pencil, charcoal, crayon, pen,
and brush techniques. Seven-week course meets 7 - 10 p.m., Mondays,
starting April 4, at Niles North High School, 9800 Lawler Ave., Skokie.
Course fee is $135.
Painting
with Oil and Acrylics (ART C35-02) explores the basics of creating
artwork in oil and acrylics. Seven-week course meets 7 - 9:30 p.m.,
Tuesdays, starting April 5, at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton
St., Skokie. Course fee is $110.
Knitting
(HEC S20-02) shows how to create scarves, hats, vests, and afghans
for all skill levels. Six-week course meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesdays,
starting April 5, at Niles West High School. A $5 materials fee is
due at the first class. Course fee is $99.
Crocheting
(HEC S22-02) invites students of all skill levels to learn a variety
of stitches and work on personal projects. Six-week course meets 7
- 9 p.m., Wednesdays, starting April 13, at Maine West High School.
