Pottery/Ceramics
(ART C06-01) allows students to learn the foundations of pottery at
their own pace. Eight-week class meets Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.,
starting Sept. 26, at Maine East High School, 2601 Dempster St., Park
Ridge. Course fee is $169.
The Sistine Ceiling (ART C72-01) details the drama
behind Michelangelo's completion of the more than 5,000-square-foot
Sistine Chapel ceiling. One-week session meets 6:30 - 8 p.m., Tuesday,
Sept. 26, at Maine East High School. Course fee is $20.
Beading
for Beginners (HEC S98-01) demonstrates how to create beautiful,
ornamental jewelry with a personalized touch. One-week session meets
7 - 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Maine West High School, 1755
S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines. Course fee is $19.
Creative
Woodcarving (ART C32-01) teaches the exciting art of wood
sculpting from an expert who has created works for hospitals, churches,
businesses, and private collections. A materials fee of $40 is payable
at the first class session. Eight-week session meets Wednesdays, 7
- 9:30 p.m., starting Sept. 27, at Maine West High School. Course
fee is $150.
