Oakton Courses Review Key Business Skills
Improve your job etiquette skills or learn about business opportunities by enrolling in classes offered by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.
Brush up Your Business Manners: It Pays (COM S61-01) reinforces the importance of maintaining a professional image. One-week course meets 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct 8, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln, Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $50.
You're On the Air (COM S24-01) provides tips on how to improve your voice, market yourself, and turn voice-over work into a thriving business. One-week course meets 7 - 9:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, at Niles North High, 9800 Lawler Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $50.
Work for Yourself as an Independent Sales Rep (BUB E23-01) examines the skills needed to become a successful independent sales rep. Course also shows how to create a business plan and manage your success. Four-week course meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesdays, starting Oct. 11, at Glenbrook South High, 4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview. Course fee is $125.
Telephone Power and the Art of Voice Mail (COM S65-01) will enhance your telephone etiquette in the business environment by showing you a style that will increase your company's positive image. One-week class meets 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus. Course fee is $50.
