Register for November Special Interest Courses at Oakton

Registration is open for a variety of special interest courses offered in November by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.

Beading for Beginners (HEC S98-01) provides students with the opportunity to create exquisite ornamental jewelry. One-week course meets 7 - 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines. Course fee is $19; a $7 materials fee is payable at the first class session.

Make a Holiday Candy House with Your Kids (HEC B27-02) is a "sweet" way to show your creativity. All materials - house frames, candies, and icing - are provided. This single-session class meets 1 - 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $49.

What Every Seller Needs to Know Before Selling a Home (REL E17-01) presents valuable real estate tips from an attorney, accountant, and a real estate broker. One-week seminar meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton St., Skokie. Course fee is $20.

Other special interest courses include Fun with Wire and Beads (HEC B21-01) and Cooking Around the World (HEC C26-01).
