Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.
Basic
Windows (DPR A22-31) demonstrates how to navigate your desktop
with ease. Course is for those with no computer background. Five-week
course meets 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday, starting May 20, at Oakton's
Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave. Course fee is $150.
Office Applications (DPR A82-31) helps students increase
their proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for Windows. Four-week
course meets 5:30 - 9:15 p.m., Tuesday, starting May 20, at Oakton's
Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Course fee is $150.
Windows/Word Applications (DPR A86-31) allows students
to learn Windows and Word applications in one class. Course is ideal
for the beginning student with basic computer knowledge. Learn how
to create, rename, and delete folders and manage files using Windows
Explorer, My Computer, and the Recycle Bin. Ten-week course meets
5:45 - 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, starting May 21, at Oakton's Des Plaines
campus. Course fee is $270.
Windows
Application (Windows XP) (DPR A23-31) teaches how to use
Windows to customize your desktop. Topics include: managing files;
creating, renaming, and deleting folders; and establishing shortcuts
to programs and files. Five-week course meets 5:45 - 8:45 p.m., Wednesday,
staring May 21, at Oakton's Des Plaines campus. Course fee is $150.
