Enhance computer skills by enrolling in classes offered
this fall by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community
College.
PowerPoint (DPR A70-01) demonstrates the popular
program used to create compelling presentations. Five-week course
meets 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Monday, starting Aug. 25, at Oakton’s
Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave. Course fee is $150.
Office Applications (DPR A82-01) showcases various
Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.

Computers Are for Everyone (DPR A57-01) provides
basic instruction for students with no computer experience. Three-week
course meets 10:20 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, starting Aug. 26,
at Oakton’s Skokie campus. Course fee is $80.
Windows/Word Applications (DPR A86-01) combines two
popular Microsoft programs in one class. Course is designed for students
with no previous computer experience. Ten-week course meets 5:45 –
8:45 p.m., Wednesday, starting Aug. 27, at Oakton’s Des Plaines
campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Course fee is $270.
Other available computer classes include: Windows Applications
(DPR A23-01), Basic and Intermediate Excel (DAT A14-01),
and Introduction to MS Excel (DPR A84-01).
