The
Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College offers
new courses for hobby enthusiasts in January. Courses are available
evenings and weekends at various locations.
Introduction
to Studio Recording Techniques (MUS B19-01) provides a hands-on
experience with an in-house sound engineer. Eight-week class meets
Tuesday, 7 - 9 p.m., starting Jan. 22, at Boocoo Recording Studio,
1823 Church St., Evanston. Course fee is $160.
Pet
Photography (ART B28-01) provides tips and techniques to
capture the beauty and personality of your pet. Class meets 7 - 9
p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge,
Ave., Evanston. Course fee is $29.
Easy
Woking (HEC F53-01) demonstrates Chinese stir-fry and other
wok cooking techniques. Students also will learn about the major regions
of Chinese cuisine, along with the history, culture, and customs of
China. Four-week course meets Wednesday, 6:30 - 8 p.m., starting Jan.
23, at Evanston Township High School. Course fee is $90.

Bridge Potpourri (REC S04-01), Small Engine
Repair (TEC C15-01), and Chinese I (LCH
B01-01).
