The
Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College features
an assortment of courses this spring. Courses are available evenings
and weekends at various locations.
Egypt's
Greatest Female Pharaoh (HIS T92-01) examines the life of
Hat-shep-sut, one of only four women in Egyptian history known to
have reached the position of pharaoh. Class meets 7 - 8:30 p.m., Tuesday,
Jan. 29, at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave., Evanston.
Course fee is $19.
Is There More to The Secret? (HUM B16-01)
discusses the core teachings of the best-selling book, The Secret,
which promotes a scientific principle that can be used to improve
our lives. Class meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Glenbrook
South High School, 4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview. Course fee is $29.
Beginning Ballroom Dancing (PED S61-01) teaches basic
step patterns for several popular ballroom dances. Nine-week course
meets Tuesday, 7:35 - 8:45 p.m., starting Jan. 29, at Maine East High
School, 2601 Dempster St., Park Ridge. Course fee is $99.
Ballroom
Dancing II (PED S62-01) builds on the dancing skills learned
in Beginning Ballroom Dancing. Nine-week course meets Tuesday, 8:45
- 10 p.m., starting Jan. 29, at Maine East High School. Course fee
is $99.
Other

to Aviation Careers (TEC B02-01), Soups, Salads,
