Anime
Drawing Workshop for Teens (ART D23-01) is an opportunity
for fans of this popular Japanese style of motion-picture animation
to meet with fellow enthusiasts. Students will also learn how to create
manga - Japanese comic books or graphic novels. Starter materials
are included in course fee. One-week session meets 2 - 5 p.m., Saturday
March 24, at the Morton Grove Park District Prairie View Center, 6834
Dempster St., Morton Grove. Course fee is $50.
Drawing
for Beginners (ART B02-06) introduces students to working
with pencil, charcoal, crayon, pen, and brushing drawings of still
life and human figures. Six-week course meets Thursdays, 7 - 9 p.m.,
starting March 29, at the Morton Grove Park District Prairie View
Center. Course fee is $75.
Basic
Blues Harmonica (MUS C14-02) presents a fun and easy way
to learn a new instrument and jam with friends. Bring a 10-hole harmonica
in the key of C to class or purchase one for $8 at the first session.
Two-week session meets Sundays, 2 - 4 p.m., starting April 1, at the
Morton Grove Park District Prairie View Center. Course fee is $70.
Media
Memories (HUM C15-01) allows media enthusiasts to recall
the early days of radio, TV, and movies through a vast collection
of recordings and film footage. Three-week course meets Mondays, 6:30
- 8 p.m., starting April 2, at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf
Road, Des Plaines. Course fee is $45.
