Personal Finance Courses Offered Through Oakton

Increase your knowledge of personal finances by enrolling in classes offered through the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.

Understanding Wall Street (FIN E06-01) provides practical investment help in an easy-to-understand format. Three-week course meets 7 - 9 p.m., Thursdays, starting, March 3, at Glenbrook South High School, 4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview. Course fee is $69.

Practical Household Budgeting (FIN E17-01) demonstrates how to plan a budget for household expenses, pay your bills on time, and prepare for future expenses. One-week session meets 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines. A $25 materials fee is due on the night of the course. Course fee is $20.
