Succeed
with Orchids (ORN S11-01) provides advice about choosing an orchid
for your home, and the conditions necessary for it to thrive. One-week
course meets 7 - 10 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Glenbrook South High,
4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview. Course fee is $19.
Plumbing
the Depths (TEC S16-01) teaches plumbing basics, including how
to connect faucets and toilets. Four-week seminar meets 7 - 9 p.m.,
Tuesdays, starting Oct. 26, at Maine East High, 2601 Dempster St.,
Park Ridge. Course fee is $69.
Fun
with Wire and Beads (HEC B21-02) demonstrates various weaving
techniques to help you create your own unique jewelry. One-week course
meets 7 - 9:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 15, at Maine West High, 1755 S.
Wolf Road, Des Plaines. Course fee is $19.
Japanese
Christmas Origami (ART C39-01) teaches how to create beautiful
ornaments and gifts using the ancient art of folding paper. Four-week
course meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesdays, starting Oct. 19, at Glenbrook
South High, 4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview. Course fee is $69.
Other
around-the-home courses include Big, Beautiful Beads (HEC B22-01),
and Blooming Orchids: Growing to the Next Level (ORN S12-01).
