Oakton Alliance Offers Medical Series

Study recent medical findings by enrolling in Mini-Medical School, a three-part series offered by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College. Classes meet on three consecutive Tuesdays at Maine East High School, 2601 Dempster St., Park Ridge. Cost for the entire series is $25, or $10 per individual lecture.

What's the Deal with Allergies? (HEA C02-01) reviews current data, and includes information about peanut allergies and developing allergies later in life. Session meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6.

My Left Foot (And Right Foot, Too) (HEA C02-02) covers common foot ailments and what can be done to prevent them. Lecture meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Population Health (HEA C02-03) presents health-related demographics, including whether income levels predict healthiness. Session meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20.
