Register for Online Courses at Oakton

Learn a modern language or test preparation skills without leaving the comfort of home in online courses offered through the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.

All online courses require e-mail and Internet access using Netscape, Internet Explorer, or Firefox Web browsers. These featured classes run from Aug. 20 through Oct. 10 and have a course fee of $89.

Instant Italian (ITL B02-301) prepares you to speak basic Italian in a variety of situations. Notes about Italian culture are provided throughout the course. A computer equipped with working speakers or headphones and Windows Media Player or RealPlayer is required.

Beginning Conversational French (LFR E02-301) teaches common French words and phrases for business or personal enjoyment. Each lesson also offers information about French culture. A computer equipped with working headphones or speakers is required.

GMAT Preparation (GMT P01-301) offers helpful techniques and methods for improving your score on the GMAT.

GRE Preparation: Part I (GRE P01-301) provides strategies for success in the verbal and analytical sections of the GRE. Practicing to Take the GRE General Test, 10th Edition is required.

GRE Preparation: Part II (GRE P02-301) presents tips for tackling the math section of the GRE. Practicing to Take the GRE General Test, 10th Edition is required.
