Enhance Professional Skills with Oakton's Alliance

Gain new professional skills by enrolling in summer courses offered by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.

Bartending Certification (BAR T01-35) prepares students for bartending opportunities in the public and private sectors. Graduates may qualify for job placement. Five-session class meets 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, starting July 21, at ABC Bartending School, 1699 Wall St., Mount Prospect. Course fee is $525.

Telephone Power and the Art of Voice Mail (COM S65-31) shows how to enhance telephone skills to increase productivity and success. Course meets 6 – 9 p.m., Thursday, July 24, at Oakton’s Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave. Course fee is $50.

Introduction to Computer Information Systems (CPT A19-C31) focuses on fundamental concepts for those seeking a career as a computer professional. Three-week course meets 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, starting July 28, at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
