Adults
whose native language is not English and who have trouble reading
and writing are encouraged to enroll in the Bridges to Academic
Reading and Writing courses offered by the Alliance for Lifelong
Learning at Oakton Community College, in cooperation with area high
schools.
Bridges
to Academic Reading and Writing focuses on developing the skills necessary
to successfully pursue GED or college credit courses. Classes meet
twice weekly for 20 weeks starting in mid-April.
Mid-spring
registration for evening reading and writing classes will be
held 7 - 9 p.m. on the following nights:
