Taking Charge of Your Financial Future (FIN E32-01)
prepares women to make better financial decisions. Three-week course
meets 7 – 9:30 p.m., Monday, starting Nov. 10, at Niles North
High School, 9800 Lawler Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $20.
The Challenge of Globalization: What Can Religion Contribute to the
Discussion? (PHL E86-01) is a thought-provoking discussion
on topics including human rights, ecological preservation, and conflict
resolution. Course meets 7 – 8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, at
Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave., Evanston. Course fee
is $20.
Auto Buying and Leasing (TEC B22-01) offers strategies
for researching, selecting, and purchasing or leasing a new vehicle.
Two-week course meets 7 – 9 p.m., Wednesday, starting Nov. 12,
at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines. Course
fee is $40.
Turkey on the Grill (HEC E15-01) demonstrates how
to prepare a succulent turkey so that it is crispy on the outside
and juicy inside. Course meets 7 – 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13,
at the Backyard Barbecue Store, 1147 Greenleaf Ave., Wilmette. Course
fee is $49.
