Ave., Skokie.
Adolescent
Self-Destructive Behaviors: A Therapeutic Toolkit for Change
will be presented by Matthew Selekman, LCSW, co-director of Partners
for Collaborative Solutions in Evanston. The author of Working
with Self-Harming Adolescents and Pathways to Change: Brief
Therapy with Difficult Adults, Selekman has experience on four
continents working with teenagers who have trouble managing their
moods.
Designed
for social workers, professional counselors, family therapists, addictions
counselors, speech and language pathologists/audiologists, registered
nurses, occupational therapists, teachers, and other professionals,
this hands-on workshop offers effective therapeutic tools and strategies
that participants can put to use when working with adolescent clients.
Individual, family, and group therapy methods will be discussed.
Registration
fee of $125 includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and 6.5 CEUs.
