Learn the principles of renewable and alternative
energy technologies by enrolling in a new class for spring 2009 at
Oakton Community College.
Overview of Alternative Energy Resources (ELT 290-050)
examines trends in alternative energy and the evolution of solar,
wind, hydroelectric, biomass, geothermal, and nuclear power. Students
will learn how to power a household appliance using alternative energy.
Some knowledge of electronics and electricity is helpful. This 15-week
course meets 6 – 9:20 p.m., Wednesday, starting Jan. 28, 2009,
at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
