Oakton Emeritus Lecture Examines Aging

Learn the secret to aging gracefully, despite loss and physical concerns, in a course offered through the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College.

Aging and the Human Spirit (PSY C10-72) focuses on meditation as the way to a more peaceful life. Dorothy Doherty, co-author of Out of the Skin, Into the Soul: The Art of Aging, is the guide for this exploration. This six-week course meets 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Fridays, starting Jan. 21, at Classic Residence by Hyatt, 2500 Indigo Lane, Glenview.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
