Oakton Emeritus Class Examines Jewish Life

Expand your cultural knowledge by enrolling in classes offered through the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College. All featured courses meet at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.

As the World Turns: Global Jewish Life in a Time of Change (ENG E18-71) considers Jewish life in the former Soviet Union, Prague, and Israel. This course also explores the efforts of Jewish women to reclaim Jewish life in the former Soviet Union. Three-week course meets 3 - 4 p.m. Thursdays, starting May 5. Course fee is $40.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
