Oakton Emeritus Visits Frisbie Center, Covenant Village

Raise your cultural awareness by enrolling in classes sponsored by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College. These featured classes are held at locations in Northbrook and Des Plaines.

Itzhak Perlman: Childhood Concertos (MUS B45-72) highlights the violin concertos Itzhak Perlman played in his youth. One-week class meets 10 - 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 Northwest Highway, Des Plaines. Course fee is $20.

Shakespeare for Dummies (HUM C05-71) debunks the myths that prevent people from appreciating one of the best writers of all time. Three-week course meets 2 - 4 p.m., Thursdays, starting March 16, at Covenant Village, 2625 Techny Road, Northbrook. Course fee is $40.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
