Oakton Community College Hosts Coffeehouse Series

Learn more about Jesus - one of the most riveting figures in all of recorded history - at "What's Brewing?," a series of 10 coffeehouse seminars held at Oakton Community College, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.

"Quest for the Historical Jesus," led by author Doug Gillette, examines the teachings of Jesus and the powerful mythos of his life. The 10-week series will be held 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Fridays, starting Oct. 1. Seminar fee is $120.

Students age 60 and over who live within Oakton's district pay half-tuition for Emeritus noncredit classes. Those who have registered for an Oakton credit class within the last three years or an Alliance for Lifelong Learning noncredit class within the last five years may register using the Touch-Tone system by dialing 847-635-1616. Touch-Tone registration requires payment using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).
