Oakton Emeritus Courses Examine Current Events

Join fellow "news junkies" for lively weekly discussions by enrolling in offsite classes sponsored by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College.

What's Brewing in World News (PSE BO5-74) allows participants to engage in current events using the daily newspaper as well as The Week, a magazine featuring news from journals around the world. Four-week seminar meets Mondays, 10 - 11:15 a.m., starting April 3, at the Charles G. Frisbie Senior Center, 52 Northwest Highway, Des Plaines. Course fee is $50.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
