Javanese
Gamelan-Intonation, Gongsmithy, and Rasa (MUS B53-64) looks
at the music of the gamelan, an "orchestra" of gongs and tuned metallophones,
and its relationship to the Hindu-Buddhist concept of "oneness." Course
meets 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at Oakton Community College,
7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $15.
