Computers, history, and current affairs are among
the topics offered this fall by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community
College. All featured courses meet at Oakton’s Skokie campus,
7701 N. Lincoln Ave.
Computers: Not For Beginners (DPR F02-61) goes beyond
the basics with instruction on how to scan documents and send the
same e-mail to multiple recipients. Single session course meets 10
a.m. – 12 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13. Course fee is $89.
Unsung Heroes of History (HIS T95-61) examines the
lesser known players who impacted the American Revolutionary War,
Civil War, and World War II. Five-week course meets 10:30 a.m. –
12 p.m., Wednesday, starting Oct. 15. Course fee is $80.
Iraq and the United States: Six Years Later (PSE
B34-61) provides an analysis of the U.S. involvement in Iraq, including
a timetable for possible withdrawal. Seven-week course meets 12 –
1:30 p.m., Wednesday, starting Oct. 15. Course fee is $95.
