Religion and Culture: Synthesis or Conflict? (PHL
E84-61) examines whether the church should be in harmony with culture.
H.R. Niebuhr’s Christ and Culture is discussed. Eight-week
course meets 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Thursday, starting Oct. 16.
Course fee is $100.
From Shofar to Show Tune (MUS C07-61) explores the
influence of various Jewish traditions in music and poetry on the
performing arts. Course meets 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct.
19. Course fee is $30.
Beginning Hatha Yoga (PED S10-62) demonstrates how
to practice stretching, breathing, and relaxation techniques from
an instructor certified by the Himalayan Institute. Students are asked
to bring a small pillow and a mat or towel to class. Six-week course
meets 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, starting Oct. 22. Course
fee is $72.
