Fill your summer days with health, fitness, and lots of fun with classes offered by the Oakton Community College Emeritus Program.Tai Chi Chih, Part I (PED E30-91, Touch-Tone 09605) teaches students a series of 20 movements designed to balance, increase, and integrate energy. This six-week class meets from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Mondays, beginning June 2, at the Skokie Chamber of Commerce, 5006 Oakton St. The course fee is $72.
Beginning Hatha Yoga (PED S10-91) teaches students the stretching, breathing, and relaxation techniques of this gentle art. The six-week classes meets from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, beginning June 4, at the Lincoln Towers Condominium, 7601 Lincoln Ave., Skokie. The course fee is $72.
Other fitness and recreation classes offered this summer include Continuing Tai Chi Chih (PED E31), Intermediate Hatha Yoga (PED S11), Beginning Bridge (REC S60), and Advanced Bridge (RECS64).
